Jesus, just after confronting the Pharisee's understanding of what makes a person clean or unclean, does exactly the thing that would have made the Pharisees want a bath (baptism - ritual washing) in the first place: associate with Gentiles. But this is when things get weird. First, Jesus seems to not want to heal a desperate woman's daughter (v.24-30). Second, Jesus utilizes a very strange healing technique (v.31-37). These two strange stories of grace give us more questions than answers at first glance, but upon closer examination we will be able to say "He has done all things well."
