Mark 15:21-32

Sermon by Pastor Nick Krauss. Sermon Text: Mark 15:21-32

In Mark 15:21-32, Jesus is crucified at 9:00 a.m. Crucifixion is a form of execution that was designed for a prolonged, agonizing, shameful death. Mark’s focus on the shame, and not the pain, of the cross helps us to see the purposes of God which lie behind the horror: “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
