Sermon by Pastor Nick Krauss -- Mark 5:14-20
Here is an inconvenient truth for our secular world: spiritual beings and forces are part of the fabric of the created universe, although unseen by the naked eye. They are very real, whether we recognize it or not. And this is part of the reason why Jesus came: "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). It is good news that the Lord of all Nature is easily able to destroy the principalities and powers which dominate our world and accomplish his goal. But how do people respond to Jesus when they see Him liberating people from the power of the Devil? Unfortunately, while it did produce fear, it did not produce the "fear of the Lord."
