The world does not realize that we are living in the Last Days, or the End Times. God has already poured out his Spirit upon the Church (Acts 2:17) and has personally spoken to us by his one and only Son (Heb 1:2; cf. 1 Pet 1:20). The end times are a period of much tribulation as his people patiently wait until the coming of our precious God and Savior Jesus Christ (Acts 14:22) who will come to judge the world and save his people. The days we live in are like the days of Noah: the days are evil and our neighbors are going about their daily lives without any thought of a coming judgment (Matt. 24:37-39). So the end of the world is coming… now what? How Then Shall We Live? Fortunately, Jesus ends his end times sermon with his own application, and Jesus’s answer looks quite different from the typical Doom’s Day prepper.
“Now he [The True and Living God] commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).
